Fareportal takes stake in search technology company Search Machines

Fareportal, parent of online travel agencies CheapOair and OneTravel, is bolstering its technology offerings by investing in search technology company Search Machines.

Terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Founded in 2019, UK-based Search Machines helps large enterprises optimize and personalize their search user acquisition.

Its proprietary ATLAS platform uses natural language processing with artificial intelligence to understand user intent and match demand and supply, helping advertisers optimize their user acquisition for ROI.

“Fareportal has worked with Search Machines founders Richard Jackson and Shlomi Beer for many years. During that time, we have seen the rigorous attention to detail and innovative technology that make ATLAS an essential tool for search optimization, applicable to all industries, but particularly the travel industry,” said Fareportal Founder and Executive Chairman Sam Jain.

“Fareportal is a leader in travel technology, so this investment in Search Machines as part of the Farreportal family of companies is a logical move.”

Richard Jackson, Founder and CEO of Search Machines, adds, “This is a watershed moment for Search Machines as it shifts into a faster growth mode.

“This new investment allows Search Machines to level the playing field in the post-COVID era by enabling large retailers, online insurers, online travel agents and other digital organizations to line to have the best technology to improve their customer user acquisition metrics across search channels, which is critical to winning in today’s tough market.”
