Herefordshire company director faces ban after failing to submit accounts

A HEREFORDSHIRE company director faces banishment after failing to submit accounts to Companies House.

Grant Cuthbert Rogers was found guilty in his absence by magistrates in Cardiff.

The court heard the 60-year-old, as a director of Prestige Developments (Global) Ltd, was found guilty of breaching sections 441 and 451 of the Companies Act 2006 by failing to to provide a copy of each accounting document relating to the accounting year ended June 30, 2018, which had to be sent to the Registrar of Companies.

He was further found guilty of continuing to contravene requirements on June 11, 2021, after consistently failing to deliver documents to the Registrar of Companies.

On March 3 this year, the court found that Rogers was still in breach of the requirements, failing to provide the required documents between November 8, 2019 and January 3, 2022.

Magistrates found that Rogers also failed to deliver a copy of the company’s accounts relating to the financial year ending June 30, 2020 to the Registrar of Companies at Companies House in Cardiff on June 30, 2021.

The case was adjourned as magistrates said they were considering making a disqualification order under section 5 of the Companies Directors Disqualification Act.

Rogers, of Bannutree Lane, Bridstow, Ross-on-Wye, will appear before magistrates in Cardiff on May 27.
